About Us
We are a family run business based in Croom, Co. Limerick and are proudly serving the community since 1949. At Plunkett’s Pharmacy we listen, understand and most importantly care about all our customers. Our highly trained team are always on hand to provide information and advice.
We offer a wide range of clinical services including vaccinations, blister packing, veterinary medication and much more. We have a diverse range of products front of shop; including an extensive gifting section from Newgrange Living and Tipperary Crystal. We also offer an Ear Piercing service.

Eibhlis
Shanahan
Pharmacist
Eibhlis runs the pharmacy with her husband Tom. She graduated as a pharmacist from Trinity College Dublin and has over thirty years experience as a community pharmacist. Eibhlis is also a trained vaccinator. Outside of the pharmacy, she sits on the research committee of Cystinosis Ireland. She lives locally in Croom with her husband and three children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading.

Shanahan
Manager
Tom runs the pharmacy with his wife Eibhlis. Tom graduated from University College Cork with BSc in Food Business. He is heavily involved in the Croom community and is a board member of many local initiatives.
David
Garvey
Supervising Pharmacist
David is the supervising pharmacist at Plunkett’s Pharmacy. He graduated from University College Cork as a pharmacist in 2011. He also attained a Masters degree in Pharmacy from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. David has been an integral member of Plunkett’s Pharmacy since he was an intern pharmacist. He is also a trained vaccinator.

Pharmacist
Fiona graduated as a pharmacist from University College Cork with First Class Honours. She has a keen interest in Clinical Pharmacy and has received the Dr H H Stewart Medical Scholarship in Clinical Pharmacy. She is also a trained vaccinator.
Nuala
France
Pharmacy Assistant
Nuala has over 10 years managerial experience in pharmacy. She has completed the IPU Pharmacy Interact Counter Assistant Course. She is responsible for the operation of our PillPacPlus blistering robot and camera.
Anita
Ryan
Pharmacy Technician
Anita is a pharmacy technician having completed IPU Pharmacy Technician Course – BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians. She has been working with Eibhlis and Tom since they opened their doors in 2000. Anita is responsible for purchasing. She has also completed a FETAC course in customer care. Anita is an avid supporter of Limerick GAA.

Foley
Pharmacy Technician
Yvonne joined our team in 2017. She initially completed the Pharmacy Assistant and Business Administration course in Limerick College of Further Education. She then completed IPU Pharmacy Technician Course – BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians. She is now a trained pharmacy technician.

Pharmacy Technician
Karolina is a pharmacy technician. She completed the IPU Pharmacy Technician Course – BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians. She has a keen interest in first aid having volunteered with the Irish Red Cross. She is a welcome face to our widening Polish community.

Pharmacy Student
Emily is currently studying pharmacy in University College Cork. She works in the dispensary on Saturdays and during the holiday seasons.
